RS3 Market Watch: The Ascendri Bolt Mystery & AFK Invention Profits
The RuneScape 3 economy is always in flux, but lately, players have noticed some strange behavior at the Grand Exchange. In a recent market deep-dive, we looked into why standard Ascendri Bolts have seemingly dried up and how savvy players can pivot to Invention-based profits to keep their gold stacks growing. Currently, standard Ascendri Bolts are becoming increasingly difficult to purchase, even when offering 5% over the Guide Price. The theory? With many players were occupied by Leagues, the consistent "grind" for these bolts has slowed down, causing a supply shortage. Interestingly, the Ascendri Bolts (e) (the enchanted versions) are currently selling for less than the raw bolts. For players utilizing High Alchemy machines, this presents a unique opportunity. While the enchanted bolts cost less to buy, their high alch value remains lucrative, allowing for a potential profit of roughly 11 million GP on a standard bulk buy, even after accounting for the cost of Nature Runes. If you aren't using your Invention Machines, you are leaving money on the table. Keeping your High Alch machines filled is the pinnacle of "set and forget" income. If Ascendri bolts are too hard to source, consider looking into: One of the most consistent ways to profit through Invention is the creation of Divine Charges. By processing Teak Logs (which are cheap and easy to buy in bulk), players can accumulate "Simple Parts." With 20 Simple Parts and a bit of energy, you can create Divine Charge (empty) containers. These are currently selling for approximately 25,000 GP each. It is a fairly AFK process - roughly 140 seconds of downtime per inventory - making it the perfect activity for players watching movies or working on a second monitor. Also a commenter noted that apparently tempered fungal shafts are a better and cheaper source of "Simple Parts". At the time of writing this, they are selling for 146 coins, while teak logs are sitting at 273 coins. So you can def save some coins and also the buy limit is set at 30,000 for these so also good. Whether it’s the flashy new Invention Cape or the satisfaction of seeing a 40 million GP sale from Divine Charges, RS3 offers plenty of ways to stay wealthy without constant clicking. Keep an eye on those GE limits, keep your machines humming, and don't be afraid to pivot when the market gets weird!
